Wildcats win in impressive fashion

PLANO - Senior John Roberson put up over one-third of the Wildcats points as Plano defeated Jesuit 89-75 Saturday afternoon.
As the Wildcats leading scorer, Roberson filled the basket with 31 points leading all scorers on the court. Senior Landon Skinner scored 15 points while junior Reggie Britton scored 14.
Jesuit leading scorer, Brandon Anderson put up 19 points while Shaun Hardick finished with 12.
After the first quarter, the Friars and Wildcats were tied at 19-19. However, in the second quarter Plano put 24 points on the board, heading into the quarter with a 9 point lead over Jesuit.
As the game wore on, the Friars were able to outscore the Wildcats in the third quarter, but still trailed by five points heading into the fourth.
Both teams scored a barrage of points in the final period, combining for 49 total. But the Wildcats added to their lead by scoring nine more than Jesuit and finishing the game with a 89-75 victory.

Plano is 9-3 and was on a seven game winning streak before losing to God’s Academy last week, but the Wildcats regrouped and pulled together to defeat Friars.
With District 9-5A play set to begin for the Wildcats Friday against Allen, they don’t plan to look past their final non-district opponent the Kimball Knights who they will play at Ellis Davis in the Primetime Tour on Thursday at 7:30.
